Sheldon is a seasoned, kind Thoroughbred gelding who has been a beloved part of the Kuruka program since September 2015. With a cute way of going and an easy, consistent rhythm, Sheldon is a wonderful teacher for riders learning the ropes of part boarding, leasing, and showing.

He has been a great introduction to the Bronze and Trillium circuits, happily jumping 2’9” courses, and has also schooled cross-country and fox hunted in the past. Sheldon is the type that everyone falls in love with immediately — sweet, dependable, and always ready to greet you with his signature smile.

This laid-back gelding has more whoa than go, making him ideal for a rider who appreciates a quiet, steady partner while still being responsive and pleasant to ride. Sheldon enjoys barn life, travels well to shows, and is a pleasure to work around.

Sheldon would thrive in a program with a capable junior or small adult and prefers one consistent rider with a quiet seat.

Care & Management:

• Lives outside 24/7 currently, but is also comfortable in a stall

• Wears front shoes

• Good for bathing, farrier, and trailering

• Additional Maintenance required
