Did you know that Murphy had been selected to be a jumper for the pool of horses for the 2015 PanAm games in Toronto? Unfortunately, he suffered a front leg injury and did not participate. He came to Kuruka in 2015, enjoyed some well-deserved recovery time and was brought back to work. His jumping days are over, but he still has a lot to offer as a flat work master. Somewhere along the way he grabbed the heart of one of our coaches, Maud, and they have been working together ever since. Murphy is a giant teddy bear with lots of horsepower, but he is also an amazing Equine Assisted Learning teacher. He is very sensitive to stress and emotions and is an excellent teacher of life skills in the EAL programs that run on the farm.
